This Award was won by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz - May God bless his soul - for his contribution to the advancement of the community and elevation of the standard of services provided to community members, including inter alia, the establishment of Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Charitable Foundation from which a number of other humanitarian projects have emanated, namely:

• Sultan Bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services, one of the largest medical rehabilitation centers in the world.
• Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Medical and Educational Communications Program, which aims at providing outstanding services, at the national level, in the field of communications and information technology for the health and education sectors.
• Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Center for Technical Sciences, which aims at spreading the principles of knowledge and innovations in science and technology.
• Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Charitable Foundation for Housing, which aims at building, providing and supervising modern houses for the needy families.
• Supporting and funding of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Program for Research and Distinguished Scholarships at King Saud University, as well as the research chairs, programs and international research and development awards at all Kingdom universities.
• Establishment of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Water Prize at King Saud University.
