The Bassmat  Initiative by Faisal al-Yousef and Amin Al-Rasini won the third place of the King Khalid Development Partners Award in its fourth year, through the electronic mass voting tool.

Winning Justifications:

• It is an initiative that focuses on collecting and highlighting the innovations and successes of Saudi researchers outside the Kingdom, including patents, medical discoveries, academic excellence, etc., in a bid to support the makers of such contribution and to transfer their achievements back to home to encourage other generations to follow their steps. The initiative uses several electronic, field and media platforms to this purpose and considers such fingerprints as the gift that the scholars shall give back to their homeland when they return from the country of scholarship.
