The Charity Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province (Benaa) was founded in 1431H. It cares for orphans by providing comprehensive programs and services for orphans and their families. The society has a beneficiary base of 2,379 beneficiaries, and its fields of activity cover: Orphan care, health care, persons with special needs care, training and rehabilitation, youth, arts, emergency relief, and women.

Winning Justifications:

• The society pursues a strong strategy that clearly demonstrates its efforts for significantly increasing the user base and the quality of the service provided as well as for having a clear impact on the community; it carries out successful activities and programs and builds many purposeful partnerships. The society has achieved excellence in human resources management where it exerted tremendous efforts to retain its competent staff and has continuously worked on providing programs aiming at enhancing employee loyalty; it has also managed to enter into partnerships with educational and training institutions in order to continue the development of its human resources. The society has adopted an advanced framework for evaluation and measurement of performance which follows a rigorous scientific methodology for the measurement and evaluation of its rehabilitation activities, including: Saudi Aramco's Initiative for the Development of Orphans, an ongoing development program, held in favor of the society, that contributes to discovering the abilities and talents of orphans and helping them to integrate and have influence in the community. An evaluation of this initiative has been made to indicate that performance is being measured on an actual basis. In addition, the society maintains clear regulations in regard to the development of financial resources which is reflected in the programs and endowments it has undertaken; also, it pursues a well-organized and distinguished activity in the use of social media.
