Awarded to Dr. Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Al-Obaidi for his distinguished contributions in the field of social sciences, which contributions were closely related to the issues of Saudi community in terms of novelty, originality and depth, and for the use of a sound scientific approach. Among the studies carried out by Dr. Al Obaidi were: Endogamy (marriage of relatives) in the Saudi community – retirees - determining the future needs of nurseries and social education homes in Saudi Arabia - the relationship between self-assessment of the health condition - trends of university and college students towards work in cities and villages - certain socio-economic determinants of fertility level in Riyadh - factors relating to the family pattern in Riyadh, trends of university youth towards medical examination for marriage – dementia in Saudi Arabia, and - certain family and social determinants for late marriage.
